Having been fascinated by cars for all my life, I was fortunate to have carried out my apprenticeship at Grays of Guildford back in the early 80's, this gave me a great insight into performance vehicles with the Ford RS and Cosworth range. At the end of the 80's the opportunity arose to work at Bell & Colvill, where I soon became the Lotus workshop foreman. At the time the business was owned and run by Mr Colvill & Mr Bell, two of the nicest people in the motor trade with a real passion for their business, cars and customer service, I owe them both a debt of gratitude not only for my time there but also for the help and encouragement since. .

After leaving Bell & Colvill in the mid 1990’s I went on to start and run a Lotus Specialist with my good friend Tim, this coincided with the introduction of the Elise. The Elise was a real turning point in the modern fortunes of Lotus,

but not only that it gave our new business a huge new customer base of Lotus owners. We offered Lotus repairs and servicing for Lotus enthusiasts by enthusiasts which I continue to this day. Because of the relationship with the customers we ended up looking after many of their other vehicles, this lead to my interest in Porsche and to me offering a full range of Porsche servicing and repairs. 

2015 was a difficult year for me, but as is often the way it also offered new and exciting opportunities, by the end of the following year I had secured a new workshop and had it completely refurbished to my own specification and requirements, being just ten minutes from my home offers me great flexibility and allows me to offer even better customer service.
